Axel was born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area. He attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and has been working professionally in all aspects of the entertainment industry from animation to live action to video games for 15 plus years. He has worked with several companies, including Sony Pictures Animation, Nickelodeon, Midway Entertainment, Image Comics, Animax Entertainment, Sony Computer Entertainment, THQ, NBC, Creature Effects, Hasbro, Activision and many others. He taught the Character Design class for 5 year at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood. He had worked displayed in galleries like Petra Gallerie in Beverly Hills and Hold Up Gallery in Little Tokyo in Downtown L.A. Axel had been video taped and featured in Sketch Theatre with many other fine artists and designers as well.
Currently, he works out of his home studio in the greater L.A. area near the beach cities, working on contract projects and his personal work. He always has a sketchbook at hand to do a doodle.
